“not all men”
is an interactive museum that emulates life through the eyes of a woman to encourage visitors to better empathize with the daily life of being a woman.
Often women face discrimination every day. Whether it’s physical, emotional, or mental. Many are unaware of what living life as a woman may be like.
Collecting testimonials from people who are willing to share and turning those stories into illegible wall murals that both physically and mentally require readers to take a step back and look at the bigger picture of women’s suffrage. I created immersive rooms that allow visitors to live vicariously, as a woman, through progressive web mobile sites and tactile experiences.

When walking into this open room, you will see the walls plastered with stories from women. At the birth of this project, we sent out a survery allowing women to express their frustrations with interactions with men. These are very REAL traumatizing stories. The only way we can truly allow for men to understand how we feel is to hear it from us. Use our accompanying app to listen to these women tell you personally about these stories. Once your ear is to the app, you will hear a random story from women about their everday interactions with men.
Walking into this room, one would see plastered text messages from men on dating sites. We have collected a multitude of different content from women and their interactions with men on dating apps. Use our accompanying app to play along with our ‘Would you Respond’, tinder style. With the app, one could see why a particular screenshot was submitted and where the perpetrator went wrong and how they could improve for the future.
Walk into this space and you will not be able to avoid the double standards that are embedded in our every day society. With our special glasses, you will be able to see both sides of the double standard. Without the glasses, you will only be able to see the main standard. The accompanying app also helps with seeing the hidden messages behind this exhibit.
